Managing Reseller Customers

In Management, open Subscriptions and select Open control panel on the intended Active reseller service. Choose Reseller for customer administration or My Account for your own mail-hosting tools. These actions apply to that reseller account on the selected server.

These are reseller administration actions. For your own subscription or billing, use Management.

Create a customer account

  1. Create at least one package first.
  2. Open Reseller → Manage Users and expand Create New User.
  3. Choose Username, using 1–10 lowercase letters, numbers, or underscores.
  4. Avoid a username matching a mailbox local name the customer will need; the form explicitly warns about this conflict.
  5. Enter the customer's contact Email Address, a Password of 8–256 characters, and the intended Package.
  6. Click Create User.
  7. Confirm the account appears in Your Users.
  8. Provide the customer with the correct panel URL, server, and hosting-account login through an appropriate secure channel. Add domains and mailboxes using the normal user workflows.

The contact email field does not create a mailbox. The creation form has no customer-domain field.

Edit a customer account

  1. Open Manage Users, locate the account using Search if needed, and click Edit user.
  2. Wait for its details to load and verify the username.
  3. Select a different Package, enter a New Password if required, or adjust Disk Quota (MB).
  4. Leave New Password blank to preserve it.
  5. Click Save Changes and re-open the account details to verify.

The contact Email and Main Domain are read-only in this dialog. User quota is displayed in MB, whereas package quota uses GB. When changing packages, the new package's quota takes precedence over an accompanying manual quota value; apply a later individual adjustment separately if required. Multiple account changes may partially succeed, so verify actual state after an error.

View a customer account and return

  1. Open Manage Users and click Login as user beside the intended account.
  2. Check the username in the dialog and click Login as User.
  3. Confirm the Viewing as banner identifies the correct customer.
  4. Perform only the intended customer task using the ordinary account menus.
  5. Click Return to your account in the banner when finished.

The reseller menus are hidden while viewing the customer. API-key management is explicitly unavailable in this context; return to your own account to manage its keys.

Suspend or unsuspend a customer

  1. Open Manage Users and find the customer.
  2. Click Suspend user for an active account, or Unsuspend user for a suspended one.
  3. Verify the username in the dialog.
  4. Click Suspend User or Unsuspend User.
  5. Confirm the status changed in the list.

Suspension is intended to prevent account access until unsuspended. If you need to establish its effect on message delivery or existing mail-client sessions, contact Support with the account and server details; the account-status label alone does not establish those outcomes.

Delete a customer

Permanent deletion

This permanently removes the customer account and associated data.

  1. Preserve any required customer data and confirm the correct server/account.
  2. Open Manage Users and click Delete user.
  3. Read the username and warning in the confirmation dialog.
  4. Click Delete User only when ready.
  5. Confirm removal from Your Users.

For customer mailbox tasks, follow Email accounts, Forwarders, and Managing domains after checking the Viewing as banner.
