Getting Started with MXroute

Welcome to MXroute! This guide will help you get started with your email hosting.

What is MXroute?

MXroute is a reliable email hosting service designed for businesses and individuals who need dependable email. Our major focus is on inbox delivery for the emails you send. Of course, we can only guarantee that we do the most possible to that end, we cannot guarantee your emails will be appreciated by the recipient or their email provider. We provide a heavily customized DirectAdmin as a control panel for email management. We have Crossbox and Roundcube available for webmail. We support IMAP, SMTP, and POP allowing you to use your own email clients. We are primarily an email service, we are not meant to be a groupware solution.

Accessing Your Control Panel

The first step to using your MXroute service is logging into DirectAdmin, your control panel for email management. Here's how:

  1. Go to our billing portal at https://accounts.mxroute.com/index.php?/clientarea/
  2. Find and click on the domain you entered when purchasing the service
  3. Click "Login Details"
  4. Use the provided URL, Username, and Password to access DirectAdmin

If you need to reset your DirectAdmin password, you can click on "Reset Password" under the Login Details link. The password change will be reflected on the Login Details page.

For more detailed instructions and visual guidance, see our DirectAdmin Login Guide.

Our Values

We know that values are important to you, so we have a few. Let me outline some of them:

  1. We believe in practical reliability over excessive redundancy. While having multiple data replications across the globe might sound appealing, it often leads to unnecessary complexity and exponential cost increases. We focus on maintaining consistent, reliable service without the overhead of chasing theoretical 100% uptime - a goal that even the largest tech companies haven't achieved.

  2. We're going to make mistakes - everyone does. What sets us apart is our commitment to honesty: no corporate doublespeak, no gaslighting, just straight talk about what happened and how we're fixing it.

  3. Let's be clear: spam is spam, even when it's dressed up as "cold outreach." We have zero tolerance for professional spammers on our platform.

  4. While we respect email marketers as people, we've made a clear choice: our platform is not for marketing campaigns. Period.

  5. We may have grown, but we'll always keep that small business heart. Being accessible to our customers isn't just a policy - it's who we are.

  6. Email shouldn't be controlled by a few giant corporations. We're building more than a service - we're creating a community that's making email better for everyone. Your voice matters here.
