Troubleshooting
Can't Send or Receive Emails
Verify Your Internet Connection
- Ensure you're connected to a stable Wi-Fi or cellular network
Check Server Settings
- Confirm server names are entered correctly
- Verify you're using the correct ports and SSL settings
Password Issues
- Try re-entering your password
- Ensure there are no typos or extra spaces
App Issues
- Force close the Mail app and reopen it
- Restart your iOS device
Connection Errors
If you see "Cannot Connect to Server" or similar errors:
Check if your ISP blocks email ports (especially port 25)
Try alternative ports:
- For SMTP: Try port 587 or 2525 instead of 465
- For IMAP: 143 might work if 993 is blocked
Verify server name spelling (case-sensitive)
Special Considerations
Multiple Email Accounts
If you're adding MXroute as an additional account:
- The process is the same as above
- Each account will appear separately in the Mail app
- You can view all accounts together or individually
Server Certificate Warnings
If you receive certificate warnings:
- Ensure your iOS is updated to the latest version
- Check that your device's date and time are set correctly
- Verify you're using the correct server name
