Catch-All Addresses

Open the Control Panel through Management → Subscriptions → Open control panel for the intended Active service. See Using the Control Panel if you need help finding the account or domain.

Choose how to handle unknown recipients

  1. Open Advanced → Catch-All.
  2. Select the domain.
  3. Choose the behavior for addresses that do not exist:
    • Reject (Recommended) refuses the message and provides a failure to the sender.
    • Discard Silently drops the message without notifying the sender.
    • Forward to Address sends unmatched mail to the address entered below it.
  4. If forwarding, enter the full destination email address.
  5. Click Save Changes.
  6. Reopen the page to verify the selection. If testing, send to a deliberately unused address at that domain.

A catch-all can attract mail sent to guessed or mistyped addresses. It does not create individual mailboxes. Use the same steps and choose Reject (Recommended) to stop catch-all forwarding.

For a specific receiving address, create a mailbox or forwarder.
