CalDAV & CardDAV Setup
Sync your calendars and contacts across all your devices using MXroute's DAV server.
Connection Details

INFO
Your domain's MX records must point to MXroute servers for authentication to work. This uses the same credentials as your email account.
iOS / iPadOS
Adding CalDAV (Calendars)
- Open Settings
- Tap Calendar → Accounts → Add Account
- Select Other → Add CalDAV Account
- Enter:
- Server:
dav.mxroute.com - User Name: Your email address
- Password: Your email password
- Description: MXroute Calendar
- Server:
- Tap Next to verify and save
Adding CardDAV (Contacts)
- Open Settings
- Tap Contacts → Accounts → Add Account
- Select Other → Add CardDAV Account
- Enter:
- Server:
dav.mxroute.com - User Name: Your email address
- Password: Your email password
- Description: MXroute Contacts
- Server:
- Tap Next to verify and save
macOS
Adding CalDAV (Calendars)
- Open the Calendar app
- Click Calendar → Add Account...
- Select Other CalDAV Account... → Continue
- Choose Manual for Account Type
- Enter:
- User Name: Your email address
- Password: Your email password
- Server Address:
dav.mxroute.com
- Click Sign In
Adding CardDAV (Contacts)
- Open the Contacts app
- Click Contacts → Add Account...
- Select Other Contacts Account... → Continue
- Choose CardDAV for Account Type
- Enter:
- User Name: Your email address
- Password: Your email password
- Server Address:
dav.mxroute.com
- Click Sign In
Android
Android doesn't include built-in CalDAV/CardDAV support. We recommend DAVx5, a free and open-source app.
Install DAVx5
Download from:
- Google Play Store
- F-Droid (free)
Configure DAVx5
- Open DAVx5
- Tap + to add an account
- Select Login with URL and user name
- Enter:
- Base URL:
https://dav.mxroute.com - User name: Your email address
- Password: Your email password
- Base URL:
- Tap Login
- Select which calendars and contact groups to sync
- Your calendars will appear in your Calendar app, contacts in your Contacts app
Thunderbird
Adding CalDAV (Calendars)
- Open Thunderbird
- Click the Calendar tab
- Right-click in the calendar list → New Calendar...
- Select On the Network → Next
- Enter:
- Username: Your email address
- Location:
https://dav.mxroute.com
- Click Find Calendars
- Enter your password when prompted
- Select calendars to add → Subscribe
Adding CardDAV (Contacts)
- Open Thunderbird
- Click the Address Book tab
- Click New Address Book → Add CardDAV Address Book
- Enter:
- Username: Your email address
- Location:
https://dav.mxroute.com
- Click Continue
- Enter your password when prompted
- Select address books to sync
Windows
The built-in Windows Calendar and People apps don't support CalDAV/CardDAV. Options:

eM Client
eM Client is a Windows email client with built-in CalDAV/CardDAV support (free for personal use).
- Go to Menu → Accounts → +
- Select Calendar or Contacts
- Choose CalDAV or CardDAV
- Enter:

Note about Outlook
Microsoft Outlook does not natively support CalDAV or CardDAV.

TIP
If your app asks for separate CalDAV and CardDAV URLs, use the same server address for both. The server handles the distinction automatically.
