Account and Profile
These instructions manage your customer account in the Management Panel. Mailbox addresses and mailbox passwords are managed separately in the Control Panel.
For changes to your profile or security settings, sign in first. On a phone or narrow window, open the navigation menu at the top left to find Profile or Security.
A qualifying service is a service that is not cancelled, terminated, or marked as fraud. Pending and suspended services count for these account settings. See account restrictions if a control is unavailable.
- Open management.mxroute.com/login.
- Enter your customer-account Email and Password.
- Select Sign In.
- If asked, enter the current six-digit code from your authenticator app and select Verify.
- Continue to the Dashboard or the page you were opening before sign-in.
If you were checking out, the panel returns you to the order flow. If sign-in reports too many attempts, wait before trying again. Use Forgot password? if you cannot remember the account password.
Create a customer account
- Select Create one on the sign-in page, or open Create Account.
- Enter your real first and last name. Although these fields are not marked required, accurate names matter for identity checks and account recovery.
- Enter your Email Address, Street Address, City, State/Province, Postal Code, Country, and Phone Number.
- Enter a Company and VAT/Tax ID if applicable.
- Choose a password of at least eight characters and repeat it in Confirm Password.
- Complete the verification check if prompted.
- Select Create Account.
After successful registration, you are signed in. If registration was part of checkout, continue reviewing and placing the order. Creating an account alone does not purchase a service. Some account settings remain limited until the account has a qualifying service.
Sign out
- Open the navigation menu if it is collapsed.
- Select Sign out near the bottom of the navigation.
On the closed-account page the button is Log out; in the demo you can use Exit demo. Signing out of Management does not establish that a separate webmail or Control Panel session has also been closed.
Reset a forgotten password
- On the sign-in page, select Forgot password?.
- Enter your customer-account email address.
- Select Send Reset Link.
- Check that address for the password-reset email, including its spam folder.
- Open the reset link within 30 minutes.
- Enter a New Password of at least eight characters and repeat it in Confirm Password.
- Select Reset Password.
- After the success message, select Sign In and use the new password.
The request page gives a generic response even when an address does not match an account. An expired or already used link requires a new reset request. Resetting the password does not remove 2FA; if it is enabled, you still need an authenticator code or lost-authenticator recovery.
Change your password while signed in
- Open Security.
- Find Change Password.
- Enter your Current Password.
- Enter a different New Password of at least eight characters.
- Repeat it in Confirm New Password.
- Select Change Password and check for the success message.
This changes the customer-account password. Mailbox password changes belong in the email Control Panel. Password changes remain available when the account has no qualifying service.
Update your contact information
- Open Profile.
- Under Contact Information, update the relevant name, company, address, country, or phone fields.
- Check that the required address and phone fields are complete and accurate.
- Select Save Changes.
- Confirm that the updated details are displayed.
To change your sign-in email, follow Change your account email address. Accounts without a qualifying service can make one profile update; further updates are limited until they have a qualifying service.
Change your account email address
Available when the account has a qualifying service and no other email change is pending.
- Open Profile.
- In Email Address, expand Change email address.
- Enter the New Email Address.
- Select Send Verification Email.
- Open the verification email sent to the new address.
- Follow its link within one hour.
- After Email Address Updated! appears, use the new address for future Management sign-ins.
The current address remains in use until verification succeeds. A notification is also sent to the old address. This changes the customer-account email, not any hosted mailbox address. If the verification expires, return to Profile to request a new change.
Cancel a pending email change
- Open Profile.
- In Email Address, locate the Pending change notice.
- Check the proposed address to make sure this is the change you want to cancel.
- Select Cancel Pending Change.
- Check for the cancellation message.
Your existing account email remains unchanged. Cancelling a pending email change is unavailable while the account is restricted for having no qualifying service.
For authenticator setup or lost-authenticator recovery, see account security. If your account is closed, use the closed-account contact form.
