Can I disable all spam filters on MXroute?

No, MXroute does not allow complete disabling of spam filters.

By default, our SpamAssassin configuration rejects emails that score 25 or higher. If you attempt to disable all spam filters, we will re-enable them.

Why we require spam filtering

MXroute operates in a shared environment where disabling spam filters would have significant negative consequences:

  • Reduced performance for all users
  • Increased spam volume across the platform
  • Potential price increases to accommodate higher resource usage

Industry Standard Practice

All major email service providers implement similar protective measures:

  • Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, and other large providers all use high-level spam filtering
  • These filters protect both their infrastructure and their users
  • MXroute follows similar practices to maintain service quality

Configuring Your Spam Filter

While you cannot completely disable spam filtering, you can customize your spam filter settings:

  1. Log into DirectAdmin
  2. Navigate to "Spam Filter Config" under "E-mail Manager"
  3. Adjust settings according to your preferences within the available options
