Managing Subscriptions

Sign in to the Management Panel before starting. On a phone or narrow window, open the navigation menu at the top left to find the named page.

Each service has its own storage and Control Panel access. To change its capacity, use Changing your plan. To end a service, see Cancelling a service.

View a service and find its details

  1. Open Subscriptions.
  2. Find the service by its name, custom label, billing domain, or service number.
  3. Review its status, renewal information, and price.
  4. Select Service details or the service name.
  5. Review the package, next renewal, billing cycle, price, and creation date.
  6. Where available, find Internal Username and Server under Service Details.

Cancelled, terminated, and fraud-marked services are excluded from the normal subscription list. A missing renewal date can occur on a one-time or lifetime service; do not interpret it as a date in the past. The internal service username is distinct from an individual mailbox address.

Open the email Control Panel

Available for an Active service. Its control-panel account must also be ready.

  1. Open Subscriptions or locate the service on Dashboard.
  2. Select Open control panel for that service. The same button is available on its service details page when the control-panel username is present.
  3. Continue in the new tab that opens.

For navigation and email-hosting tasks after launch, see Using the Email Control Panel.

For DirectAdmin services, this opens MXroute's Control Panel. Legacy cPanel services open cPanel. Each service has its own Control Panel access, so use the button belonging to the service you intend to manage.

If the panel cannot connect, try again or contact Support with the service number. If the service is pending or suspended, check its status and any unpaid invoices first.

Open webmail

  1. Select Open webmail in the Management header, or open webmail.mxroute.com.
  2. In the new tab, sign in with the email account you want to use.

Use that mailbox's full email address and password. The link opens webmail; it does not sign you into a mailbox using your Management credentials.

Reorder your services

Available when there is more than one service to arrange.

  1. Open Subscriptions to see the full list, or use Your services on Dashboard.
  2. Drag a service's dotted handle to the desired position.
  3. Wait for the Service order saved status message.
  4. Check the other page if desired; the order is shared between Dashboard and Subscriptions.

For a keyboard or touch alternative, select a handle to open Arrange your services, use the move-up or move-down controls, and select Done. You can also focus a handle and use the arrow keys; Home and End move to the beginning or end of the visible list. Use Subscriptions when arranging services beyond the Dashboard's first five.

Add or edit a custom service label

  1. Open Subscriptions → Service details for the service.
  2. Under Service Settings → Custom Label, select Add or Edit.
  3. Enter a short label, such as Work Email, up to 100 characters.
  4. Select Save.
  5. Confirm the label appears on the service. It also appears on Dashboard and Subscriptions.

The label helps you recognize the service and does not rename its product or alter its email configuration. Select Cancel to leave the existing label unchanged.

Remove a custom service label

  1. Open the service's Service details page.
  2. Under Custom Label, select Edit.
  3. Select Remove and confirm the prompt.
  4. Confirm that the field now says Not set.

The service itself remains in your account.

Edit a billing domain

This option appears only when the service already has a billing-domain value.

  1. Open Subscriptions → Service details.
  2. Under Service Settings → Billing Domain, select Edit.
  3. Enter the desired billing-domain text, up to 255 characters.
  4. Select Save and check the updated value.

This field is for billing records only. It does not add an email domain, rename a hosted domain, or change email routing or DNS. Use the email Control Panel to manage the domains used by your service.

If a service or action is missing, see account and service restrictions. For mailbox and domain setup after opening the Control Panel, follow Quick Setup.
