Adding Users to Your Reseller Account

After setting up your packages, you can start adding users to your MXroute reseller account. This guide walks you through the process of creating new user accounts for your customers.

Adding a New User

Step 1: Access the User Creation Interface

  1. Log in to your DirectAdmin reseller control panel
  2. In the top navigation, hover over the Account Manager menu
  3. Select Add New User from the dropdown menu

Step 2: Complete the User Information Form

Fill out the following required fields:

Step 3: Email Notification Setting

The form includes an Email Notification option, but please note:

  • This option is suppressed on the MXroute back-end
  • Email notifications for new accounts will not be sent automatically
  • You will need to communicate account details to your customers directly

Step 4: Create the Account

After completing all required fields, click the SUBMIT button to create the new user account.

After Creating a User

Once a user is created:

  • The new account will be immediately active
  • The user can log in to DirectAdmin with the provided credentials
  • You can manage the user account through your reseller control panel
  • The user will have access to the resources defined in their assigned package

Managing Existing Users

To manage existing users or modify their accounts:

  1. Navigate to Account Manager in DirectAdmin
  2. Select Manage Users to view all your created accounts
  3. From there, you can modify user settings, change packages, or suspend accounts as needed

Important Considerations

  • Username Uniqueness: If your chosen username already exists on the server, you'll need to select another one
  • Domain Configuration: After creating the account, the user will need to configure their domain's MX records to use the service
  • Communication: Since automated notifications are disabled, ensure you have a process to securely communicate login credentials to your customers
  • Password Management: Consider implementing a secure method for generating and sharing initial passwords
