Reset DirectAdmin Password

If you've forgotten your DirectAdmin password or need to generate a new one, MXroute provides a simple self-service password reset option through the accounts portal.

Password Reset Process

Follow these steps to reset your DirectAdmin control panel password:

1. Log in to the MXroute accounts portal at accounts.mxroute.com

2. Navigate to your active services by clicking on your active MXroute product

3. On the product details page, look for the "Reset Password" option in the left sidebar menu of the right frame

4. Click the blue "Reset Password" button to confirm the action

5. The system will generate a new password and display your updated login credentials:

   • Control panel URL (your DirectAdmin login page)
   • Your username (unchanged)
   • Your new password (randomly generated for security)

Important Notes

• This process immediately changes your DirectAdmin password
• The new password is randomly generated for maximum security
• Make sure to save your new password in a secure password manager
• This reset does not affect email account passwords, only your DirectAdmin control panel access
• For security reasons, passwords cannot be recovered - only reset

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues during the password reset process:

• Verify you're logged into the correct account at accounts.mxroute.com
• Try clearing your browser cache and cookies
• If problems persist, open a support ticket through the accounts portal
